What we collect, and what we don’t
Short version: there is nothing here to fill in and nothing is sold to anyone. Two things count visits, one of which sets cookies, and we say which and why below rather than making you find out.

Who we are
ZedSites builds websites for businesses in Zambia. We are based in Lusaka. If you want anything on this page explained, or you want us to delete something we hold about you, message us on WhatsApp or email info@zedsites.com.
This website
There is nothing on this site to fill in. No contact form, no newsletter, no account, no login. There are no adverts here and nothing is sold to anyone.
The fonts and images are served from this site rather than from someone else’s, so the design of the page is not reporting your visit anywhere.
Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server records — including IP addresses — for a short period to serve pages and to block attacks. That happens for any website you visit anywhere; we do not use those records to identify anyone.
What we measure, and what it costs you
Two things count visits here, and one of them uses cookies. We would rather say so plainly than leave you to find out from your browser.
Cloudflare Web Analytics tells us how many people opened a page, roughly which country they were in, and which site they came from. It sets no cookies, follows nobody between websites, and builds no profile.
Google Analytics does more, and this is the part that affects you. It sets cookies in your browser, and loading this page sends a request to Google, so Google knows the visit happened. We use it for one reason: to count how many people tap a WhatsApp button, which nothing else we have can tell us. It records pages opened, roughly where in the world you are, how far down you scrolled and which links you clicked. It does not receive your name, your number or anything you type.
If you would rather not be counted, your browser’s private mode or any tracker blocker will stop it, and nothing on this site will work any worse for it.
There is no advertising pixel on this site. If we ever add one, this page changes before it goes live, not after — the same way it changed on the day Google Analytics went on.
When you message us
Almost everyone reaches us on WhatsApp. When you do, we can see your phone number, your WhatsApp display name and whatever you choose to send us. We keep that conversation so we can pick up where we left off, and we note basics like your business name and what you asked for.
WhatsApp is Meta’s service, not ours. Your messages travel through their systems under their terms, and we have no control over that part. If you would rather not use it, email or call us instead.
We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list for asking a question.
If you become a client
To build and launch your site we need real details: your business name and address, your contact numbers, your prices, and photos you send us. To register a domain in your name, the registrar requires your name, address, email and phone number, and we pass those to them for that purpose only.
Some of what you send us is meant to be published — your address, your opening hours, your prices. You approve the site before it goes live, so nothing appears that you have not seen.
Who else can see it
Only the companies needed to run the service, and only for that purpose: Cloudflare hosts the websites, Google receives the analytics described above, the domain registrar holds registration details, and Meta carries WhatsApp messages. Nobody else.
These companies operate outside Zambia, so information you send us is stored on servers abroad. We are telling you plainly rather than burying it, because you should know where your business details end up.
How long we keep things
Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted once they are clearly not going anywhere. Client records and site content we keep while we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a returning client is not starting from scratch. Ask us to delete your records and we will, apart from anything we are required to keep.
What you can ask for
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. Message us and we will do it — there is no form and no process to go through.
Changes
If we start collecting something new, this page changes on the same day, and the date at the top changes with it.
